About the Association

The Central Asian Association for Accreditation of Education (CAAAE) is one of Kazakhstan’s leading public-professional accreditation agencies, included in the Register of Recognised Accreditation Bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Association carries out independent institutional and programme accreditation of universities, colleges and continuing-education institutions in Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia.

CAAAE is a full member of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) and the only public-professional organisation in Central Asia entitled to award the international EUR-ACE® Label to engineering degree programmes. The label has already been awarded to programmes of Kazakhstan’s leading universities, and in 2025 CAAAE became the first agency in Central Asia to conduct an international accreditation of a European university — the University of Navarra (Spain).

The Association acts as the operator of the Central Asian Federation for Quality Assurance in Education (CAF) and of the regional CAF Register synchronised with European databases, and takes part in European initiatives including the Erasmus+ EduFusion project.
